Marina Rodriguez (born April 29, 1987) is a mixed martial artist born and raised in Bagé,, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil.

Her younger brother, Roberto Alcalde Rodriguez, is a para-swimmer compete in 2020 Tokyo Oympic Games. (which was actually held in 2021)

Marina's martial arts career began late. When she was 24, Marina was getting bored working as a graphic designer for a small firm in Florianopolis. She was bit overweight too, therefore googled gym nearby. That's when she remembered about 1996 K-1 World Grand Prix DVD Alcalde used to watch. 

So, Marina joined muay Thai class at Marcio Malko’s gym in 2013. Malko immediately noticed that she is gifted, suggested some amateur bouts.

Marina started her professional MMA career in 2015 and fought primarily in Brazil and amassed a record of 9–0 before competing in 2018 Dana White's Contender Series Brazil (DWCS).

On August 11, 2018, Marina appeared in DWCS Brazil 2, a web-series program, facing Marina Oliveira. Marina won the fight via technical contract, earned Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) contract.

Marina took Rand Markos to a draw in her Octagon debut, followed by an unanimous win over Jessica Aguilar in UFC on ESPN 2.

As of February 14, 2022, she is #3 UFC women's strawweight rankings and #9 in UFC women's pound-for-pound rankings.
