His father taught judo so it was natural for Takashi "Ten" Sato (born June 9, 1990) to train judo from the early age - from fifth grade until graduating from Senshu University.
Takashi, while establishing a career in the automotive component industry, wanted to continue wokring out, therefore, decided to become a gym member of TRIBE Tokyo M.M.A. founded by UFC / PRIDE veteran Ryo Chonan.
This was the turning point of Takashi's life.
Chonan, realized Takashi's talent immediately, recommended him to turn pro.
And, in 2013, at Chonan's retirement event, Takashi maed his pro MMA deubt against Shotaro Yabe.
Takashi won first eight pro fights recording five first-round finishes, while winning Pancrase Neo Blood tournament in 2014.
In 2019, Takashi signed with the UFC, and KO'd Ben Saunders in his Octagon debut.
He is currently 2-2 in the UFC.
Takashi now resides in Florida, training out of Sanford MMA.
