
TAKUMI SUZUKI

Takumi Suzuki (born October 23, 1995) began training judo from junior high school. After graduating from high school Takumi joined Bonsai Jiu-jitsu as a regular meber of the gym.
Although he was not telling anyone at the time, Takumi wanted to be a pro MMA fighter.
Therefore, in 2013, shortly after he started learning BJJ, at age 17, Takumi tried his amateur MMA in a small local show called BC Grow Up Bout.
After this fight, Takumi went through more than two and half years of MMA training. In September of 2015, Takumi made his pro MMA debut, defeated Suguru Nii in the DEEP Fighting Championship.
Next year, in 2016, Takumi won Pancrase Neo Blood tournament.
He posted 6-1 record in first seven pro fight until Takumi met UFC veteran Issei Tamura in Pancrase.
From this fight, Takumi started to struggle, lost four out of next six fights, yet he did not lose his sight.
In 2020, Takumi made a decision to move up to the lightweight division, won three out of four fights, and signed with the RIZIN Fighting Federation in 2022.
