TETSUYA "IRON ARROW" SEKI
/

Tetsuya Seki (born February 8, 1994) devoted himself to baseball from the early age untill junior in high school. After leaving the sport, he picked up boxing, just to stay in shape.
At the boxing gym, Tetsuya reunited with a childhood friend Ryutaro Watanabe. His old buddy recommended Sonic Squad and that was the beginning of Tetsuya's MMA career.
In 2013 Tetsuya made his pro debut against "Donkey Kong" Nobu and won via guillotine choke.
However, Tetsuya always worked full-time as a carpenter so MMA was a side-gig for him.
However, the fight vs Musu Nuertlebieke in the WLF changed everything.
He was totally dominated in this fight. Lost in just 150 seconds. Tetsuya ealized he needs to work on MMA from step one, and that is what he did.
Tetsuya won next five out six fights, and faced Hiroki Kitsukawa for a vacant ZST featherweight title.
This fight was stopped at 1:56 of the second round because Kitsukawa got injured from falling from the ring and could not continue. Under the ZST rules, judges scored the fight up until that point, and Tetsuya won title via split decision.
Tetsuya continued his winning streak, signed with the RIZIN Fighting Federation (RIZIN FF) in 2018.
He was schedule to face Yoichiro Uchimura in RIZIN 22 but injury forced Tetsuya to take on a last minute replacement Koya Kanda.
Tetsuya had a bit of trouble in the first round but came back strong in the second and finished Kanda with fury of punches.
Tetsuya dropped next fight in the RIZIN FF vs UFC veteran Yoshinori Horie but got back to the winning track by finishing Ayumu Yamamoto in the DEEP Fighting Championship.
A father of three, Tetsuya is looking to get back to the RIZIN FF in 2022.
